Oath Taking Ceremony

2015-12-30 12:39:00

Conscripts of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia took the oath of Servant of Special Military and State Protection Service of Georgia at the Memorial of the Shindisi Battle Heroes.

From today onward during one year 240 conscripts will undertake contract service at the Special State Protection Service of Georgia.

Head of the Service Anzor Chubinidze congratulated the conscripts on oath taking.

“Today you have taken a military oath and joined the army of young generation, who are ready to contribute to the sustainability and security of the state.

It is not a coincidence that we chose exactly this place for the oath taking. Here, very close to the occupation line, where several years ago young men like you sacrificed their lives to the integrity and independence of the homeland, we feel more acutely the most painful problem of our country.

I bow my head before the memory of Shindisi heroes, who showed us an exceptional example of attitudes towards the country, people and their responsibilities. Their sacrifice demonstrates that homeland stands above all and upon taking military oath you undertake more responsibilities before our country and service.

I am deeply convinced that each of you will make your best effort to defend state interests and proudly bear the name of Servant of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia.
For more than two decades this service proves to deserve the trust of the Government of Georgia.
Soldiers, I again congratulate you on today and wish you to faithfully serve your military responsibility undertaken before Georgia.
I wish you successful military service!”

Head of Service Anzor Chubinidze paid a tribute to the memory of August War heroes and laid wreath on their memorial. (see album)
