VI World Championship of Bodyguards

On September 18-23, team of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia participated in the “VI World Championship of Bodyguards” held in Ukraine and took third place. One of the members of the team - Kakha Merabishvili took second place in individual combined shooting. Team was composed of six members and participated in the following: responding attack in formation; fistfight; three types of shooting (combined, in formation, from automobile); extreme car drive; vehicle inspection to detect explosives; evacuation of wounded person through overcoming barriers.
The Championship fosters the advancement of preparation level, gaining practical knowledge of bodyguards and sharing the experience of conducting defense event. (see album)
